I hereby move without notice on behalf of the African National Congress that the House –

Notes that a police constable in North West shot his girlfriend and her male friend dead before turning the gun on himself on Saturday morning.

Further note that the incident took place at a house party in Zone 2, Itsoseng in Lichtenburg and a fourth victim was also shot and seriously injured.

Also, note that it is alleged that the friends were having a party when Constable Lesego Phefo took out a firearm and started shooting.

Therefore, send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
