As we reported the passing of the daughter of the ANC Chief Whip, Ms Khwezi Mthembu earlier in the week, we hereby give further details of the funeral arrangements.

Ms Khwezi Mthembu will be laid to rest on Saturday, 30 March 2019, in Kanyamazane location, Nelspruit, Mpumalanga province.

Her funeral service will start with a morning prayer at the Mthembu family residence at 3663 Alto Street, Kanyamazane location at 07:00am, then proceed to the Kanyamazane Stadium at 08:00am for the main service. The funeral procession will then move to the Nelspruit Cemetery for the burial.

The daily prayer services that have started at the Mthembu residence in Kanyamazane will continue every evening until the day of the burial. We are also grateful to all who came to the Mthembu Cape Town residence in Pelican Park Parliamentary Village for prayer services and condolences since Khwezi’s passing.

The ANC Chief Whip, comrade Jackson Mthembu further expresses his deepest gratitude to all who have supported the Mthembu family. We thank our colleagues in the ANC as led by President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Executive leadership of Parliament as led by comrade Baleka Mbete and comrade Thandi Modise, our colleagues from all opposition parties, the media, as well as all South Africans who have sent their condolences to the family.
