ANC mourns the passing on of Councillor Steve Mashabela and Mama Elda Dipela
The ANC extends its sincere condolences to the families and friends of comrade Steve Monampane Mashabela and Koko Eldah Dipela who passed on the 12th and 13th November respectively.
Cde Mashabela was the ANC Councillor for a decade at the Polokwane Local Municipality, an MMC responsible for Energy and an ANC Peter Mokaba Regional Executive Committee (REC) member. During his tenure as a Councillor, he assisted in the development of Luthuli Park area from an informal settlement to a fully-fledged township which accommodates thousands of people who were homeless before. Cllr Mashabela was the champion of service delivery.
Koko Eldah Dipela (who is the mother of former PSL CEO Andrew "Druza" Dipela) was a selfless and dedicated community leader who assisted needy and disadvantaged community members in the area of Seshego. Her initiatives in the development of the society cannot go unnoticed.
The passing on of these two leaders is a loss to the community of Seshego and Limpopo province. Their contributions will be sadly missed by many in the community. Most importantly they will be remembered for the love of the people they served. They will both be buried on Saturday, 23rd November 2019 in Ga Sekhukhune and Seshego respectively.
