The ANC Parliamentary Caucus extends well wishes to the Muslim community as they celebrate Eid-al-Fitr.

As Muslims observe this special occasion in the midst of the third wave of Covid-19, we acknowledge the role they have played as religious leaders to educate, encourage and pray for our nation. We extend wishes of peace, joy and prosperity.

We urge South Africans to continue to adhere to Covid-19 health protocols,including wearing a mask, washing and sanitizing our hands regularly, maintaining social distance and minimize unnecessary movements and gatherings. We further urge those eligible to be vaccinated to register and go for vaccinations.
